I liked the quiet, comfy atmosphere!
Only thing I would say is the lack of wifi in the cabins.

Very cozy room. We stayed in main lodge and enjoyed the ambiance of the lodge center room. A photographer named David Taylor of SIXTYONE NORTH is showing some beautiful artwork in the lobby and rooms. Real nice showing of Alaska's wild lands. David was there in person and kindly shared insights on the area.

the facility and the setting are very nice. The owner was very willing to answer questions and help any way she could. Our suite was very comfortable with a nice view of the Suistina River and early fall colors.
nothing. If you have a problem with stairs, ask for a first floor room or cabin

Some of the things we liked the most were the beautiful river view, emphasis on hospitality, and the cleanliness, character, and craftsmanship put into the woodwork. The rates were very reasonable and dollar for dollar beat any of the lodges we stayed in.

We stayed in a room with beds upstairs in a loft, while the bathroom, kitchen, and sitting area were downstairs. The location of the hotel on the Susitna river provided a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The owners/administrators provided exceptional service, even offering transportation to downtown Talkeetna and the train depot. The room was spacious, elegant, and very clean. The comfortable bed and beautiful surroundings made for a memorable stay.
There was no TV in the room, and breakfast was not provided at the hotel.

We stayed in an large efficiency apartment in the lodge and it was absolutely excellent. It was spacious (one king sized bed and a couch on main level plus two twin beds in the large loft), complete kitchen area, fully furnished, a large bath including shower and tub, a gorgeous view of river and mountains, a short walk or drive to downtown area, tasty/simple breakfast provided along with coffe/tea, impecably clean, very well priced, ceiling fan, screens on windows, VERY spacious for a family of up to 5, quality/comfortable furniture. Friendy staff, including the cute Tiger the black Scotty (I think) who likes to greet guests and get her belly rubbed. This place is EXCELLENT. We had just come from the Princess Denali Lodge that was much more expensive and much, much worse in quality. We would stay in the Sustina River Lodge again in a heart-beat. When we go back to Alaska, we will make it a point to stay here, again.
This did not bother us, but I feel it should be mentioned: There was no lift to help get your bags to the 2nd floor and there was no TV. We did not miss either, but others might. We moved our own bags (we did not want any help).

The rooms were beautiful, warm, and comfortable. The whole place was extremely clean and the owner was super friendly. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes from downtown and right by the river. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Also, the view from the lodge was absolutely gorgeous.
The only downside was that it was a bit of a walk to get to the downtown area, but honestly, the riverfront location made up for it. The walk was worth it for the relaxing and picturesque surroundings.

This hotel is right in the middle of the countryside just down the road from Denali Park (south of the park). Very eco-friendly, lovely grounds with a river running through it. Great little town too. It was a great value for the money.

My friends and I stayed before a Denali climb and ended up staying several more days due to illness. The staff at the lodge were kind, flexible, and understanding, allowing us to extend our stay with ease. The room was shockingly large and had thoughtful amenities like a heater for wet boots. The lodge vibe was a perfect fit for the area, and the location and views were excellent. a relaxed and welcoming experience.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
